For each of our local churches the Worship Leader is the one who leads our congregations into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, to see His glory and respond to His worth. They guide our people into hearing the songs of heaven and into singing the songs of earth. Our worship here should be a glimpse into our worship there.
Worship for all of our congregations is a core component of our gathered services and our discipleship journeys. Worship formation is foundational to the mission we share - making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ.
Jim has been in ministry for 13 years with 11 of them being in the world of church planting and 12 of them giving him the joy of leading worship. One of Jim’s biggest passions is seeing the name of God glorified through the faithful worship of His people. Jim considers it a great privilege to help people respond to who God has revealed Himself to be through the arts and to be a part of heralding the Gospel message. Jim loves to try and help the saints sing…sing in celebration, sing with thankfulness, sing as one, sing with awe, and sometimes stand in silence. Seeing the redeemed in Christ do that together and to have the great task of helping facilitate it, is overwhelming and humbling for Jim!
On an even greater scale, Jim loves serving in Christ’s Church to help empower and release Christ’s people to be worshipers in their homes, families, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and to the ends of the earth. What drives him everyday is seeing God move in people to love Jesus above all else and to be a part of bringing Him to the lost world.
Jim has been married for twelve years to the love of my life, Tara. Together they have three children and Jim thanks God everyday to be on life’s journey with them!

Restoration Church • Buffalo, NY
Wes Walters planted Restoration Church with Pastor Dan Trippie in 2008. As a military kid, Wes lived all around the world. During his college days at Auburn University, Wes felt God’s calling to devote his life to the ministry of Jesus’ work. It was then that Wes met Leslie (both are Alabama natives). They married & moved to Nashville to serve a local church. Although Wes has lived in many different cities, he and Leslie have fallen in love with Buffalo, the Queen City. Wes and Leslie are humbled & honored to serve the community through Restoration Church.
Wes has been singing in family gospel groups since he was 4, sang in madrigal groups, choirs, and opera for seven years, was in several traveling worship, as well as, mainstream rock bands from 2003-2008. While originally joining on in 2008 as music/tech coordinator and pastor, Wes soon found that God was gifting and calling him to much more. Under the personal training and mentorship of Pastor Dan Trippie, Wes has blossomed into a dynamic preacher, leader, writer, and has since returned to seminary to complete an MA in Leadership. At Restoration Wes does everything from leading worship, to preaching, to teaching theology and membership classes, leading a community group, training other pastors and leaders, and anything else God asks of him.
Wes holds the heart for Intimacy with God at Restoration Church and seeks to teach and train others toward a ravenous appetite for the Word of God above all other desires. Wes has written curriculum on worship, prayer guides, discipleship materials, and more. Wes blogs every month at www.absentfromflesh.wordpress.com
